When I got up this morning I didn't know what to do with my day. As always there was the washing, cleaning the toilets, hoovering etc and also, due to the time of year, there's plenty of shopping to do. I have upped my hours 'out working' so there's 100s of cards to make and I've almost finished another box, it just needs some figures in the foreground. But the fact that none of these NEEDED doing made it hard to settle on one. Mulling over what I wanted to do, what I needed to do, what I should do, a friend kindly reminded me that feeling guilty was ridiculous and suggested that I blow it all off and go treat myself. It got me thinking how much I over use 'should'. So I'm not going to say should anymore. If I need to do something I will, if I want to do something I will, but no more reluctant guilt ridden, should doing anything.
In the end I went to Rye. I got inspired in Rye Art Gallery, wandered around the beautiful streets, stopped for a coffee at the Harbour then drove home through the gorgeous countryside listening to 'First Aid Kit' and feeling wonderful.
Right, now I really need to go and hoover!

ps Christmas is on its way...
